Bent rods and rails for bay windows

Bent curtain rods make the task of dressing a specialty window simple. If you have an arched window, a corner window, bay window or other difficult architect construction, flexible and curved rods can make the difference. Depending on the material being used, many curved rods are flexible, they can be bent and molded to the exact shape of your window for a custom look. Stainless steel rods are traditionally shaped design specially created for bay windows, aluminium rods are more lightweight and less expensive, iron and brass rods are sturdier and can accommodate heavier drapes.

Special corner joints (connectors) designed 2 poles to fit together and allow them to adjust to different angles.

We cater for the most popular bay window shapes and other diificult shapes and constructions – square, round, and with different numbers of corners. But it’s impossible to show every window design on our website. If you have a style that isn’t shown, feel free to contact us or send us a drawing.

Measurement of trapezoidal bay rod  (pic.1)
  • Measure the sides of the trapezium (see pic. - sides А,В,С,E,F,G)
  • Measure the base line L - distance between end points of trapezium
  • Measure the depth H - distance from the center of base line till the wall
  • Measure all diagonals  (see pic.)
  • Indicate the distance of first line of cornice from wall  -D and Q
Measurement of trapeziodal bay rod (pic.2)
  • Measure the sides of the trapezium (see pic. - sides А,В,С,E,F,G)
  • Measure the base line L - distance between end points of trapezium
  • Measure the depth H - distance from the center of base line till the wall
  • Measure all diagonals  (see pic.)
  • Indicate the distance of first line of cornice from wall  -C
To produce bay cornice for arched window (pic.3) need to measure 2 sizes:
  • The base line L1- distance between the end points of bay cornice
  • The arch Н – distance from the center of base line L1  till the line of arch.
Measurement of rectangular cornice for bay window (pic.4)
  • Measure the sides of wall (see pic. - sides А,В,С,D)
  • Measure all diagonals  (see pic.)
  • Indicate the distance of first line of cornice from wall -Q
Measurement of none standard bay cornice for arched window (pic.5)

  • Measure the base line L - distance of end lines of arch.
  • The base line L divides on similar pieces  30-50 cm each (see pic. L1, L2, L3.... Ln)
  • Measure the distance from each piece L1, L2, L3...Ln to the intersection of cornice (H1, H2, H3... Hn)
